Case Study

Belfast Harbour Commissioners has a stated strategic objective to be the world’s smartest regional port and in doing so, seeks to unlock new levels of productivity and customer / user experience through partnership, innovation and technology.

To achieve this goal, Shape worked to replace the current outdated legacy finance and purchasing solution, implementing a purpose-built cloud-based ERP.

The replacement was seen more than a tech-refresh, but as an opportunity to explore efficiencies through modern digital solutions, and to transform some of its core processes in finance and purchasing.

The impact of the project was wider than just the key areas of Finance, impacting everyone that purchased, managed a budget or booked out inventory from their stores, and 2,000+ suppliers that interact with the Harbour.
